Bombardier has terminated a purchase order agreement for 15 of its CRJ1000 aircraft with Italian carrier My Way Airlines.

My Way Airlines operates as MyAir.com and Italian civil-aviation authority, ENAC, has suspended MyAir’s licence effective from 24 July 2009 due to financial problems.

The original purchase order announced in 2006 covered 19 CRJ900 aircraft and in 2007 the carrier converted 15 of the 19 orders to larger CRJ1000 aircraft.

To date four CRJ900s have been delivered to the airline.

A bombardier statement said that its CRJ1000 NextGen airliner development programme continues to move ahead with its successful first flight of the model’s first production aircraft.

The CRJ1000 is expected to enter service in the first quarter of 2010 and has 49 firm orders to date.
