Emirates Airline has selected Parker Aerospace to provide comprehensive maintenance for its fleet of Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 / A340 aircraft and engines.

Under the agreement, Parker Aerospace will provide maintenance support through its global network of repair facilities.

Emirates engineering division senior vice-president Iain Lachlan said: "Emirates’ fleet of modern, wide-body aircraft operate 24/7 across the globe, spanning the Americas to Japan, and in environments ranging from polar temperatures to arid deserts.

"The deal will provide Emirates with access to an inventory pool and a local support team, as well as guaranteed repair turnaround times."

Parker Aerospace customer support operations director Ben van Sleeuwen said: "This agreement provides cost predictability to our customer, while offering enhanced services and product performance for its fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft."

Emirates Airline’s contract comes after Parker Aerospace was selected by AVIC Aircraft to provide flight control actuation and a hydraulic system for the MA700 regional aircraft.

Parker Aerospace, a unit of Parker Hannifin, offers flight control, hydraulic, fuel and inerting, fluid conveyance, thermal management, engine systems, aerospace and other technology components.
