Bell Helicopter has delivered the first of new fully customised 429 EMS aircraft to Air Transport Europe in Slovakia.

The 429 EMS was the first fully customised aircraft developed and built at Bell Helicopter’s new customisation and delivery centre in Prague, Czech Republic.

Air Transport Europe recently accepted three newly customised Bell 429 EMS aircraft in Bell Helicopter’s delivery centre.

“Europe remains a key market for us to continue to grow and develop our balanced business.

Bell Helicopter Prague general manager Joachim Goldenberg said: “We now have the ability to provide full customisation, including maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities, offering a bespoke delivery experience for all of our European customers.”

The company noted that the new paint booth in the Prague centre has been designed to enable paint operations for all Bell Helicopter commercial products, ranging from legacy products to those currently in development.

The new centre also caters to the latest requirements in safety operations, ease of maintenance, energy sustainability, and environmental and ergonomics.

Bell Helicopter Europe and Russia regional director Jakub Hoda said: “Europe remains a key market for us to continue to grow and develop our balanced business.

“Establishing the Bell Helicopter facility in Prague lends to our anticipation of further market growth in addition to the introduction of the new Bell 505 and Bell 525.

“With this growth, we intend to have the people, products and facilities necessary to continue to win in the region and support our growing footprint.”

The company currently has more than 100 authorised customer service facilities in 34 countries.
