BOC Aviation has signed an agreement with Embraer to buy 15 E190 aircraft, powered by 15 CF34-10E engines, worth $210m.

The CF34-10E engine is equipped with a wide-chord fan blade offering higher thrust as well as a high tolerance to damage from foreign objects.

It also offers fuel-burn savings, a higher margin in exhaust gas temperature and a single-stage, high-pressure turbine for lower operating costs.

The order will be delivered from 2012 through 2014.
